Feedback From Parents & Community Members

I thoroughly enjoyed both watching the
performance and having the opportunity to join the kids dancing [on
stage]. I love the creativity, energy and sound of TLP. It's easy to
see why young people enjoy participating.

"Outstanding Program!!! The kids talked about their experiences over
dinner on a daily basis with huge smiles and great excitement for the
final production. Jeff commanded the room in such a caring manner and
every kid was fully engaged. AMAZING!!"

Hi Jeff, I am positive that you hear this all the time, but you do
incredible work. I saw my son’s performance last evening at his school in
Nashua, and I was floored!! It was simply amazing to see all those kids, kids
that I have known since kindergarten, be so engaged, involved and inspired about
what they were doing. My son (Nicholas) could not say enough great things
about you, and I now know why. You are like the kid whisperer!!! And what
great work you do!! And not only are the kids learning such a great tool as
teamwork, to also be able to teach them about doing their share for the environment
, but tapping into their talented, “wild side” is just amazing!!! I
just wanted to let you know that I think what you do is amazing, and I am going
to share my incredibly inspiring experience, and what you do with as many
people as I can!!!

I had the opportunity to attend both of Jeff's presentations that
he did with the students on the last day of Junk to Funk. What an
absolutely AMAZING program. Every single child (from pre - k thru third
grade), as well as every parent, was completely mesmerized by what they
saw and heard. Jeff constantly engaged the audience. He talked with
the kids about the importance of recycling and combined it with his
music program in the most unique way. Every parent I have come in contact with could not stop talking
about what a wonderful program the school put on for fine arts week.
Every class incorporated the idea of using junk for another purpose and
even wore and brought their items they had created to the assembly on
the last day. The grant that was given to Mrs. Smith to put on this program could
not have been used in a better way for fine arts week. As a parent,
I would like to thank all of the committee members for their time
dedicated to the MEF. Because of you, our children had an experience
like no other. They continue to this day to talk about Junk to Funk,
not only the program, but how to use trash in other ways!
-Catherin Paige Hello Jeff, I had the pleasure of attending a
performance at the Newington Elementary School last Friday where my
granddaughter, Alexis, is a kindergarten student. You have
an extraordinary talent and what you taught Alexis will forever stay
with her. She has always been quite shy and usually sits with Mom and
Dad versus performing with the other kids but you made the learning
experience so fun that she had no intention of sitting
this one out! The performance reduce, reuse, recycle was high energy
and I thoroughly enjoyed being an audience participant...Thank you once again for the fascinating
performance and the valuable lessons you share with everyone.

Dear Jeff, Thank you so much for the phenomenal Junk
2 Funk workshops you conducted for Wiggin last week. I am so sorry I
had to be away & have been receiving lots of positive, enthusiastic
feedback on your program ever since I got back this week. Thanks for

Connor completely loved the Junk 2 Funk camp at the Mill Pond Center this week! He has been nothing but smiles all week long. On the ride home after camp on Monday he stated that it was the best day of his life. Pretty high praise! Connor has also made it perfectly clear that he'll be having his next birthday partyt your studio! Thanks again for providing such a terrific experience for Connor and the rest of the participants. Their respect for you and one another was evident from day one. Many Thanks!

It is a joy to see how music can be a positive catalyst to create a harmonious ensemble out of a diverse group of young people. Jeff Erwin appears to have a marvelous talent for inspiring kids to give their very best.
-Jeffrey Gabel, former Executive Director of The Music Hall in Portsmouth, NH
I just wanted to let you know my family and I came to Dover's Apple Harvest Day a couple of weeks ago, and the recycled percussion was our absolute favorite part. I think what you guys do is AWESOME, and if you're ever interested in collaborating, I'm a Circle Leader with Spiral Scouts. We are currently very busy with a fund raiser, Celebrate Samhain, but if it sounds like something you'd like to join us for, please let me know. Thanks again--banging on junk totally made my day!
