residency program would be the perfect match for our students. His
warmth and energy was most apparent, but what sold me was his love for
the creative journey that each residency unfolds for children. This

I have attended many performances in my thirty years as an educator and former director of the Artists in Residence Program at McClelland Elementary School, but I have never witnessed such a professional performance. ...not only were his instruments fascinating, his teaching skills were impeccable. Our students were truly captivated. The fourth and fifth graders put on a dynamic show and were able to engage the entire school in dancing and singing! Jeff brought light, sound, fun and learning to the cold month of January!
Thank you so much for last week. The kids and parents thouroughly enjoyed it. I was talking to one of the parents over the weekend and she said her boys went home and raided her recycling bin and made their own instruments. I told her to take a picture and send it to you. That is what we like to see. Thanks again!!!!
Thank you for the energy, creativity and opportunity that you and your program brought to Second Start. I appreciate that you were willing to adjust what you typically do to fit our space and needs. Students continued to talk enthusiastically and positively about the event for the rest of the week. I have never seen this group of students so readily take risks, work together or outwardly express their excitement. It is a testament to not only the power of music, but your ability to engage and connect with a difficult population.
WOW! What a brilliant residency! What a fantastic performance! Jeff, your residency surpassed our wishes and expectations--something new, upbeat and engaging, a way to bring the students together as a unit in a fun learning experience. The students were totally engaged, having lots of fun and learning too when they were with you. I believe the proof of your positive impact on the students was in the rap and flowers they presented you with at the end of the Friday evening performance. BRAVO!
