About TLP
The Techlology (Audio/Visual)
TLP Residencies and Workshops integrate the latest audio/visual technology with drumming on instruments made from reused and recycled materials. The result is a sound & look that is truly unique!
A professional-grade Epson projector (3500 lumens)
& a custom front/rear projection screen (6' x 8') from Rosco (a
leader in state-of-the-art theatrical supplies) realize incredible
high-definition images.
Students can perform dance routines behind the screen
resulting in crisp silhouette animation, a very cool and popular effect as demonstrated in the photo to the right.
Pioneer's CDJ100MK3 Digital Vinyl Turntable tuns any
CD into a vinyl record opening up many possibilities for creative expression.
Roland's SP808EX e-mix studio/sampler allows students to replay audio samples and beats at the touch of a button.
Using M-Audio's Axiom 25 as a midi controller in
conjunction with Apple's MacBook Pro loaded with Ableton Live software, students can create mixes and remixes of songs in real time, all
on the fly.
Used for mobile gigs, Mackie's SRM450 self-powered loud speaker has a
patented design to provide consistent, even sound throughout any room.
They'll take on Bose in the Pepsi challenge any day!
