Inspiring Youth One Class At A Time
Trashcan Lid Productions (TLP) is an environmentally and socially conscious organization that offers a variety of programs for youth including, but not limited to, school residencies and assemblies, public and community workshops and performances, summer camp and after school visitations, and private parties. TLP programs are designed to make young people feel good about themselves while challenging them to help make the world a better place. Educators, administrators, parents and kids alike have hailed Sticks and Stones & Junk 2 Funk two of the best artist-in-residence programs in Northern New England.

Sticks and Stones is an extraordinary performance-based, artist-in-residence program that offers a proactive resolution to the problem of bullying, teasing and the like by emphasizing the importance of treating all with kindness and mutual respect. It is a requisite response not only to the proliferation of verbal and physical aggressiveness by youth in our communities, but also to the idea that kids will be kids. We believe and have clinically proven through our work that kids will be KIND if that is the expectation set by all.

Junk 2 Funk (J2F) is a high-energy, confidence-building and performance-based program that emphasizes the importance of working together as a team. J2F exposes young people to music and performance art in a non-threatening, novel manner while addressing current environmental issues, as well as many core curriculum standards, along the way. J2F is considered by many educators, parents (and kids!) to be one of the best artist-in-residence programs in New England! Think STOMP meets Blue Man Group meets the Green Police!
